At last

On 3 June the Mpushini Protected Environment entered the final stage of implentation before becoming formally proclaimed as a Protected Environment in terms of Section 28 of the NEMA: Protected Areas Act 57 of 2003 when notice was published in the Government Gazette giving the public 60 days in which to comment on, or oppose the proclamation.

Should no opposition be forthcoming, the final proclamation should be made by the end of August. The Mpushini Protected Environment will make history by being the first multi-owner Protected Environment to be proclaimed in South Africa
